Automation is the way forward for most applications. After all, computers are really good at repetitive tasks. Humans are really bad at them!

It will surely help if you could automate some of the mundane tasks occupying my time. Will be checking it out. Thank you for this information.

@Ste & Sizilien:

You can try this. Take out a notepad and put it by your side. Go about your daily tasks and note down work you are doing repetitively.

At the end of the week, you will have a rough idea on what you need to automate. Then use WinAutomation to build automation jobs to help you do those work.

Cheers,
Jag

Well what things I can automate using this?

Thanks

@Neo:

WinAutomation basically helps you automate (or semi-automates) almost any kind of PC tasks that has a well-definied workflow.

For starters, it can help you manipulate files, folders, database, excel and 3rd party application/softwares. It can automate mouse and keyboard movement for processes that are done on GUI (graphical user interface).

It can monitor files, sent emails, rename files and a lot more.

It can even help you automate your twittering (we just need access to the API)

It depends a lot on your workflow. If you can describe down in a process, chances are it can be automated or semi-automated.

You may want to go to WinAutomation’s knowledge base to discover more about what can be automated and how it can be done.

Hope this helps!

Cheers,
Jag

The basic problem is that if our keyboard entries and sequences are not exactly correct and precise, along not only with spelling but also correct computer language syntax we will be dead in the water.

@Daphne:

You are right. Hence we do not just rely on macro recording which basically only just automates keyboard and mouse action.

WinAutomation has “actions” scripts to create automation jobs which are much more robust…and according to your workflow.

With elements like variables & image recognition, you can create automation that have greater reliability.

The key is also in testing. We test the automated workflow till it work smoothly. You normally won’t get it exactly right for the first time, especially if your workflow is more complex.

Also there are things like user environment (internet speed, computer speed etc) to take note of. So testing is vital.

Hope this helps!

Warmly,
Jag

Yeah, automation helps us to be more efficient and effective. For me, automation is working smart, not hard. Ü It saves so much time and energy. Almost everything is already automated. We even have an automatic ATV quad. The downside is with all the automation that computers do, unemployment rate might increase. But it’s not really something to be feared. I’d still be into automation…

Home internet marketing is a way of generating income by spending only a part of our time thus the use of automatic systems will render continuous services even in our absence.

The testing methodology is the foundation whereupon everything else depends. It drives tool selection and all of the other automation processes.

Yeah! It would be fun, though, if there were automated toothbrushes, razors etc. Imagine: you wake up already prepared for work ))

Hahaha! That’s really funny. If everything’s automated, we would no longer need to move nor do a thing, we just watch things do their tasks as programmed…

I agree, automation is about leverage. But will the price of automation truly compensate for time, money, and effort even during budget lows?

Do you think automation is the answer for someone as fussy as me? I believe in technology but sometimes I’d end up double-checking things anyway.

“Automation is about leverage. It’s about maximizing your resources… achieving more in lesser time – at a higher operational quality.”

Yes, you could say I’m pretty amazed at how much time I will be able to save just by automating some of the most tedious tasks I do daily. I tried what you shared with us and God, how it works! Automation is a cut above the rest, for sure!

Automation does seem like a promising task for those mundane habits we just have to do. It’s good technology has only focused on mundane tasks and not taking over all human activity.
