How To Create Marketing Leverage From A Single Piece of Article

marketing leverage Can you write an article on your product or service?

No? Alright. Open up your Word document and write one right now. Do your keyword research, and write an article optimized to 1-3 of the keywords that relevant to your business.

It should take you half an hour – max.

Once you got your article, here’s how to create multiple marketing leverage… Follow me closely on this.

With your single article,…

1. Spin multiple variations of your article with an article spinning tool. Power Article Rewriter is the best tool out there for article spinning.

2. Submit the first article to EzineArticles (the King of article directories). And wait for it to be approved and published.

3. Get the published article URL (in EzineArticles) and have them included in the other variations of your original article. Be sure to also include a link back to your website.

4. In this way, you get backlinks back your initial EzineArticle article (EzineArticle offers the best SEO “juice” as compared to other article directories, ensuring you can rank well for your keyword) as well as your website.

5. Publish one of the article to your blog. Tweet the blog article automatically with TweetFeed.

6. Post the multiple versions of the article up on Facebook, Squidoo and Hubpages.

7. Do up a powerpoint presentation of your article. Narrate it and record it as a video with Camtasia.

8. Upload the video to multiple video directories like Youtube, DailyMotion, Veoh and so on. You can automate the video submission with TubeMogul.

8. Grab the mp3 file (of your narration) and upload them to various podcast directories.

9. Convert the article to PDF. And have it uploaded to Slideshare, DocStoc, Scribd and ebook directories.

10. Grab the RSS feeds associated with all the sites (if applicable) and submit them to RSS directories.

11. Social bookmark every single of these pages. You can easily automate the social bookmarking with a tool like SocialBot.

12. Finally, rinse and repeat!

Do this consistently and you will soon see your traffic go up. The key is action…action and more action!

All success,

Jag Foo

Hi Jag,

Great ideas there. If you’ve got time to do this on a monthly, or even weekly basis, you’ll see some great targeted traffic, not to mention some great inbound links.

For those that aren’t so great at writing longer pieces, the same can be done with Press Releases, which are traditionally shorter than articles and slightly easier to write.

Best,

Ed

Hey guys,

If you are already spinning articles, good for you. It’s a good start. If not, do it. Because the rewards are numerous. A lot of the other stuff I mentioned, while they look tedious, can all be automated.

This is what I call “leverage on steroids”!

Cheers,

Jag, I’ve tried six out of the twelve methods that you’ve listed on the above. However, I didn’t know that we can include the article into mp3 files. It’s totally a brand new option for me!

@Wilson,

You will have narrate them out first. In any case, if you will be doing so for the video, then might as well make use of the mp3 to submit to the podcast sites.

I think there are some software out there that can automatically convert text to speech. So that’s worth digging into.

Wow…this is great information. Although I am already doing some of these great ideas, you have opened new paths to explore. What you forgot to say though, is that as overwhelming as this seems at first…take one step at a time. Just get the article written! Once you’ve done these things a few times, it because as easy as brushing your teeth.

Very interesting tips about making an article recognizable and visible to many interested in topic. I would say that those things you write about are very complete and helpful handbook that will actually help many beginners. I remember the times I was trying to write something and than something much more tough – trying to publish somewhere. That is the real problem. You can write something really good, but if you are not famous you will not publish in the most of popular magazines (no matter if printed on paper or just e-zines).

When you post the spun versions of the article to the other directories, do you link back to your ezinearticle submission or your website?

Also, why not just submit all the spun articles to ezinearticles using different keywords, since this has the best chance of ranking?

20 August 2009 @ 1am

@Josh:

When you post the spun articles, you can link back to BOTH your ezinearticle’s article and the website.

You can’t use the spun articles to re-submit to EzineArticles if you are going to have the original one already in there. Because the articles will be too similar (in context/content). And the editors may just reject it.

You may be better off using the spun articles for other article directories and web 2.0 sites.

Cheers,
Jag

I personally think that it will not make much of a difference to do social bookmarking of the pages you create as the social marking links from all the good sites are no follow.

The link to SocialBot can be found here:

@Waqas:

You have a point. A lot of SB sites are becoming no-follow. However, do bear in mind, no follow doesn’t
really mean no-follow.

Just a follow a little bit. =)

Some sites like Digg are still do-follow though.

And let’s not forget, users within these sites
have the opportunity to find your site.

Yes, submit to ArticleBase, ArticleAlley and a couple of good high PR article directory sites. To achieve best results, you want to be submitting unique articles.

And this something that can be done by spinning the original article.

I have doubts about the success when we use multiple versions of the same articles used. And most of article rewritten by softwares are not human readable.

Anil

Posted by
Jag Foo
1 September 2009 @ 8am

@Anil:

By multiple version – I mean variations that have a uniqueness of at least 30%. So that in Google eyes, it is seen as a separate article.

Really, this is just about leveraging. You may submit the same piece multiple times to different places, but the result is just not as good.

Also, you are right that if you let a software auto rewrite for you, most of the time, you are going to get rotten pieces.

So the trick is to use a good spinning software to aid you in re-writing faster. And you decide which words/sentence you want to add in as well as the flow. In that way, you can ensure that each sentence is human readable and quality is there.

Because, what can be more powerful than your human brain?

Jag
