10 Random Traffic Generation Strategies – Part 1

Welcome on board. Thank you visiting EMoneyMarketing.com for the first time! I hope you will find some value here. Cheers!

traffic generation I realized that I’ve not really talked about traffic generation in my blog before. Since online marketing is a lot about traffic, it really should be a topic I have to cover.

So here goes. My first part in my "10 Random Traffic Generation Strategies" series.

Note: There are thousand and one ways to get traffic. What’s important is to take action and focus on the ones that work best for you.

1. Exchange links with other websites

2. Write a damn controversial story (e.g. USA president is a closet gay!) that is link-bait and flame-bait worthy.

3. Start your own newsletter or e-zine

4. Submit your site to directories

5. Buy text links

6. Use Adwords – almost instant traffic generation

7. Create a viral video and submit to all video sites like Youtube and TubeMogul

8. Promote your blog in newsgroup

9. Set up a social network account (e.g. LinkedIn, Facebook, MySpace etc)…and network!

10. Publicize your site in your email signature.

There. The inaugural issue.

Let me know your thoughts.

All Success,

jagfoo

P.S I will like to show you a special bonus business report by Chris from Elmore Business, on how he made 1.03 million USD for his small guitar niche site.

Discover his exact business model and sales process in this special marketing report. It’s a short yet fascinating read. Just goes to show, without a shadow of the doubt that – you can EARN money online!

In your point No. 5, you said that we should buy text links to get traffic to our website, but i one of my web developer friends told me that it is not good at all to buy text links as it can dangerously affect your ranking in google and buying text links even can remove our site from google. Overall, all the suggestions are good for a newbie in Internet Marketing.

I agree with most of what you write but I can’t agree with buying links… A very dangerous suggestion if they pass link juice.

@ melatonina:

There are free traffic that is good. You can also buy. Much faster. Or you can borrow. Whatever suits your needs and resources.

@ A dust collecting fool & distance learning:

Just curious – what is dangerous about buying links? It’s the same as buying banners. You get the link juice. The publisher get paid for the transaction.

There are good linking site such as 3waylinks.net, by Jon Leger, that are worth paying for.

I think I know where you are coming from. Whose links you buy from is also important.

@ Logo items – Part 2 will come sooner than you think, my friend.

@ Sam:

Good tip there. Helps a lot too when you mentioned E-MoneyMarketing. =)

Looking forward to the next series.

I would stray away from link exchanges, unless someone is openly offering to do exchanges. And you really have to be careful with paid links. Better make sure Google doesn’t find out! :)

Good post, is interesting at times how some simple things you can overlook. Adwords is still good for instant traffic but it can be expensive depending on your target market.

I think a new webmaster should focus on using the existing social networks instead of creating one.

Social networks are hard and costly to rise without hard money investments.

A quick note about the link exchanges. If you have two sites you can make it so that you link one site to the person you are trading with, then you have your other site receive the link from the person you are trading with. This way, both parties get one way links.

That’s what I do at least.

@ernesto: Adding them to your site will not get you link love. You need them to link to you.

@Make Money: Yep. That works. Definitely, one way link is better than reciprocal.

@Msn: Depends on who you buy link from. But you do have a point too.
