I was just reading a newsletter by Allan Gardyne, the founder of Associate Programs (top top affiliate marketing resource in my view), who is one of the best known affiliate marketers out there together with Ewen Chia.

So, there was this particular tip in his newsletter that really struck a chord with me.

It's a very simple tip but one of the most important one for me. As you can infer already from the title of my post, it is to take consistent action daily.

Far too often, we are all pre-occupied of getting trying to get the latest information on how to keep ahead of the competition and maintaining the edge, and somehow, we forget the basics.

It really is the basics that get us going. The all important fundamentals.

It is not the constant planning and planning and planning that brings in the money.

It is the action to carry out the monetization plan that does.

I must admit I'm one that do get distracted easily at times. And also one that pays a lot of attention to planning. Sometimes too much, that leaves me little time for actually carrying it out.

This timely reminder by Allan just reinforced the notion of 'mastering the basics first before moving on to advanced steps' to me. Now, I'm really feeling all pumped up to take more action!

If you are reading this, you may want to pause everything, put them aside for the moment and consider doing the following:

1. Draw up a to-do-list, ranking the individual tasks by priority.

2. Print it out and hang it somewhere that is readily accessible to you.

3. Work daily on taking little steps towards completing each tasks from most urgent to the one with the least priority.

4. Keep going and repeat the cycle.

Every little actions may not seem much on its own, but it all adds up. You will be one step closer to your goals, and success will eventually be just around the corner waiting for you.

As Ewen Chia once put it which I remember vividly in his newsletter, remember this important equation

--> Focus + Commitment + Consistent actions = Success

Quit procrastinating. Just do it!
