Be Unrealistic.

Want to succeed?

Learn to be a little unrealistic.

Learn to take some risk.

Learn to go against the convention.

Learn to tell those who tell you that you can’t do it…to shove it.

Learn to be like Will Smith.

I read something about this. Going beyond what is real that is presented to us. What your mind can conceive, you will receive. Or something to that effect.

Its true.

Look at Jose Mourinho.

If you don’t know him, he is a football manager. The first thing he did was tell everyone he was special and the best.

4 or 5 years later he is arguably the best manager around. He believed in himself and believed he could do it.

Nothing more powerful than the brain.

I have a girlfriend with whom I’ve had a serious relationship. In considering the future, however, it seems that the concern about finances comes up every once in awhile.

That’s a very interesting video.I think the main points are to take some calculated risks, after all, nothing ventured, nothing gained! Also to not listen to people who say that you can’t do it and have unshakeable belief in yourself that you will succeed.It is also very important to have a clear vision and path, taken one step at a time and to work very hard, as there are no short-cuts to success!

@DIY:

I know Jose Mourinho. He’s a genius coach. A winner. And an inspiration too!

@Paul:

Nothing ventured. Nothing gained. Very true indeed!

Too many of us spend too much time on the things that don’t matter and not enough time on the things that do matter.

From couple of last days i am reading The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People written by Stephen R. Covey and from his book i learn to think after the end. It was really good and effective for me to change the way i was to think in past.

I’ve found that if I set a goal that’s way higher than I expect, I’ll get to the level that I wanted to be. Setting for the stars and reaching the moon is still a great accomplishment if you understand me.

Thanks.

I’m positively impressed with your advice of being unrealistic! I’ve always though that it is correct and such a position allows us to become real optimist! Thanks for encouraging me to continue my correct way of living! I’m fond of being unrealistic:)

Being unrealistic, however has its cons.

Setting unrealistic goals, for example, can sometimes lead to frustration. It hurts falling flat-faced when you’ve set a goal too high.

We all know that Will Smith is an outstanding actor. His way of life is good inspiration to many on how to succeed by being unrealistic. . Taking some risks. . Ignoring what others telling you that it is impossible.

Hey Jag, I believe its really important to be unrealistic at times. For example, thinking big is something I like to do daily. I set big goals and shoot for them. Sometimes I only get half way but thats usually still a really good effort!

I like that story about Jose Mourinho mentioned above. I think setting yourself massive goals is an underlying factor in the success of many of the most successful people around…In Napoleon Hill’s book he talks about this in great detail – its well worth a read if you get the chance.

Will Smith is the man. I will do the things he said just because it came out his mouth.

Being unrealistic also sets us to do our best in things. Setting unrealistic goals gives us the mission to reach it. Being unrealistic isn’t at all negative, in fact it gives us options to either do it or not do it.

Think and act outside of the box is what I live by and teach my kids.

When you research big names or someone who has done extremely well for themselves you will discover that is exactly what they have done.

Bob Parsons of Go Daddy is one such case. Before Go Daddy he had built a business from his home without any investors or partners. If I remember correctly he sold that business for 64 million before moving onto to creating Go Daddy.

Ah yes, worked really hard. Somehow “workin’ really hard” seems to jell with our primal ideas about hunting and gathering. Only through some idea of stress and strain do we dole out extra portions.
Truth is you can be hugely successful, get a restful nice sleep each night and have a very comfortable time of it.
