Spiderman Meets Internet Marketing
Welcome on board. Thank you visiting EMoneyMarketing.com for the first time! I hope you will find some value here. Cheers!
Yesterday I just caught Spiderman 3, and I was pretty blown away by the special effects, storyline and some of the emotional scenes. The best in the series in my view.
You know, while watching the show, it dawned on me that there are certain aspects of Spiderman and the film itself in general, that Internet Marketers can learn from.
We already have an insect associated with Internet Marketing before, so to link Spiderman with Internet Marketing is not that far-fetched.
In case you are wondering what is that particular insect that is associated with Internet Marketing, remember Mike Filsaime’s Butterfly Marketing?
Alright, if we can have Butterfly Marketing, surely there must be some space for Spidey Marketing – The Superhero That Saves the Internet Marketing World!
Lameness aside, here are some stuff that we can learn from the web-slinging masked nerd-hero:
1. He cast his sticky strong powerful web far and wide, saving many people in the process, earning him legion of fans
We must come out with strong value added content that are ’sticky’ to get people to come back and yearning for more.
Like Spiderman, we have to create a vibrant and busy community WEB of our own. Think blogs. Think forums. Think social networking. Think social bookmarking. Think Yahoo and Google Groups.
Connect, interact and get exposed!
2. He goes around helping and saving people who are in distress. In the process, many people got to know how great and wonderful Spiderman is. They come to trust and love him. Such a friendly neighborhood hero!
This can translate to more traffic and not to mentioned, higher sales!People will be more receptive to your selling, because you have already pre-sold and warmed them up by willingly helping and providing good advice, service or content.
When you get people into your list, don’t just bombard and hard sell your subscribers. Give them value and make them happy. You make them happy, they will make you happy.
3. Spiderman does good – time and time again!
Don’t stop at providing help and great content for just a few times. Do it consistently. This is especially so, when it comes to the content in blog. When you give good content on a consistent basis, people will come back for more – which means a continuous targeted quality traffic for you, which you can potentially monetize from in future! And they will gladly let you sell to them!
4. Spiderman not only saves the very lovely Gwen Stacy, that lucky bugger even gave her an upside-down wet kiss for good measure, driving her delirious.
We have to think about going the extra mile and overdelivering. Of course, it helps a lot when your client or customer is a HOT blonde.
That will surely give you the extra motivation.
Well of course, I do really mean that we should over-deliver to everyone, not just hotties.
5. Spiderman went through a period of self-reflection, and realized that he has been an arrogant prick and has veered towards the dark side. He understands that he has made a mistake and make up for it by ditching the dark suit (and going naked).
Internet Marketing is all about testing. If a certain campaign or exercise doesn’t work or give optimal results, move on to a new one. Be big enough to admit mistakes. As some people will say, don’t flog a dead horse. Doing otherwise will only stagnate progress, costing you both time and money!
6. Spiderman teams up with Harry Osborne (aka Green Goblin Junior) to battle their formidable foes, Venom and Sandman, eventually defeating them.
Sometimes it doesn’t do any good to go it alone. With the right joint venture partner whose assets and skills can complement yours, there will be greater LEVERAGE which also means greater potential for development growth and higher profitability margin.
7. Spiderman goes all out to save his girl (Mary Jane Watson) at all cost, against all odds. He is just so damn sweet to her!
Marketing Love Lessons #7
Yes, making money is important, but don’t forget and neglect your loved ones. Be there for them when they need help, and don’t be afraid to get help from them too. After all, even Spiderman needs help.
If you are reading this, go tell your loved ones that you absolutely adore them. Not later, not tomorrow but NOW!
No money in the world can substitute love, care and concern from friends and family. Treat them well.
Wow…writing this piece took me 2 hours! Far longer than I expected. I certainly hope you like what you are reading. Do you have any more Superhero Spidey Marketing Lessons and Tips to share? C’mon be nice. I wanna hear them.
Writing all these just gave me an idea. I think I should come out with a Spidey Marketing script like Mike Filsaime did, and program it to perform all the functions that I’ve stated. Then I can declare that this is the one solution that will take the Internet Marketing world by storm and change it’s history. Hey if a butterfly can do it, a radioactive spider certainly can!
