Goodie freebie #1 – Sonic Redirect

This is for those affiliate marketers who desire to have a nicely cloaked affiliate link but don’t know how to go about doing it.

Why have a cloaked link?

You can read more in the tutorial here where I give a tip on how to easily do so manually.

If you are lazy and need a software to complete the task, then Sonic Redirect is the right tool for you.

It is workable on Windows and Mac and this script is functional on any server that runs on PHP.

So long as you know how to upload a file to your web server, you should have no problem with it. You are in business.

If you need technical help, there is an online manual link within the software that can point you in the right direction.

Goodie freebie #1 – Sonic Opt In

In direct selling, personalization is important. The buyers love it when you are talking to them.

This software not only allows you to segment your audience specific to your requirements via questions you will ask them prior to the opt in, you can also personalize the sales page after they give opted in.

With a targeted list to market to, you can expect higher conversions.

You use the word “cloaked link”. I’m not familiar with that but haven’t I heard good things about cloaking. Can you clarify?

It’s been a while since I saw you back here. =)

When we are talking about affiliate marketing, there are debates about cloaking affiliate links.

To me, it is nothing more than just making the link more presentable and readable. There is nothing unethical about it.

It is different when we are talking about cloaked doorway page which is used to cheat search engines like Google.

That is seen more as a blackhat technique and can get you banned.

That is unacceptable by most people’s books.

Cloaked affiliate links on the other hand is pretty common and yes, acceptable by many standards.

The Sonic Redirect tool sounds good. I need something easy to mask my affiliate links. I don’t want my affiliate manager taking the keywords I’ve spent time researching.

I agree about the cloaked links. People don’t click on links that go on for two miles.

I always ad some catch text in mine to peak interest.

Cloaking links is also for practical reasons too, as some links that are too long may be cut off when we cut and paste it on the browser window.
