Eat The Breakfast of Champions

Will you like to develop some marketing ESP?

ESP as in extra-sensory perception, or otherwise known as sixth-sense.

If you have that power to know what your prospects and your customers are thinking – and use that knowledge to your advantage – will you want it?

I hear you saying yes…

Alright. Let me reveal to you the dark secret.

The secret to knowing what your customer want is to….

Ask Them!

Yes. It’s that easy. Ask them for their feedback!

“Feedback is the breakfast of champions.”

You want to eat that kind of breakfast.

Getting the feedback of people that matters most to you allows you to

- Find out their needs

- Discover their wants

- Uncover their desires

- Locate their problems

- Finding a solution for their problems

- Add value to them

Sometimes people may say….”Nah…many will not give me a feedback!”

Well…if you don’t ask…how will you know?

And if you are in the selling business, this “intelligence” is invaluable.

Imagine…if you want to launch a product, you can get feedback to find out if your prospects/customers really want the information that you want to cover.

Without any feedbacks, you could be spending time on content you audience may not even want. And you even think you are heading on to a blockbuster when in fact it may be a potential disaster.

Feedbacks Will Save You a Lot of Time And Money.

Here’s another example to illustrate this point.

Ever wonder why some people don’t buy…?

Quite frankly, there could be any number of reasons…

  • Your sales letter didn’t explain the benefits well enough,
  • Your visitor got bored before reading it all,
  • Your product wasn’t quite what they were looking for,
  • Your product was more than they could afford,

… and so on – in other words, there could be a whole bunch of reasons why they end up not buying from you…

… and when they’re not buying or subscribing, any money you spent on advertising is effectively lost, and you’ve lost valuable sales and profits which you could have used to grow your business.

Or putting this into a different perspective: when you know what your visitors are thinking, you can use that knowledge to make changes to your site to massively boost your sales and subscriptions.

Does that make sense to you?

Now the only problem is most people wants to stay anonymous if they are to leave their feedbacks. They don’t want to put down their email address. Or that they may be lazy or just simply not trust you enough.

So you could be thinking how then…right?

Fortunately, there is a solution…

Paul Hancox, a brilliant marketer came out with a powerful script that automatically helps you to gather feedbacks. And do more…

It’s called the “Feedback Seeker”. Go here to check it out.

It explains the power of feedback better than I do. And it’s so much more than just a “contact us” form, if that’s what you are thinking.

Why am I recommending it? First…go there to read the sales letter, and you will know what I mean.

And secondly, I’m using it! And it works great! I’ve been getting quite a few interesting comments and feedbacks.

Now if you look at the top of this page…and at the portion just before the “Comment” section, you will see 2 feedback forms.

You know what do do right? =)

As usual, let me know what you think by leaving a comment below…

And don’t forget the feedbacks too!

All success,

Jag Foo

Very nice tricks for healthy marketing on this site I also have used some strategies from “The Power of Referral Marketing” even though perception is a very complicated and interesting thing.

You are right about feedback. But how to get them. I think in some niche nobody wants to give feedback. Just look and go or buy!

I admire the emphasis you gave on the importance of feedback. It is very true that asking our customers will help us determine what their needs are and help us come up with action plans for them as well. When promoting your services or products, don’t forget to build the value and benefits. That will lead your customer to decide for an intial purchase of what you’re selling. And also, to know if our service is doing fine, ask feedback. :)

Hi Jag

I am going to make myself look really stupid and say that I have never thought of asking for feedback.

Such a simple idea (but great)….I am just going to kick myself.

I have one site that could benefit big time from this.

Thanks

How effective are online focus groups that give better content or exclusive access to parts of a site or discounts in return for great criticism and feedback? I think getting a core group of users / customers and offering this to them would be a great way to keep costs down and get great feedback. Also, I would cycle the users to increase the sample size yet keep it small enough at the same time to be manageable.

@All:

Thanks for leaving your feedback on my
post on feedbacks. =)

Feedbacks are important. Instead of waiting
tomorrow, why not ask for them today?

Keep them all coming.

Warmly,

I’m pretty surprised Feedback Seeker comes at a price where similar script is readily available on the net. Anyway thanks for the tip.

@ Mini Gastric Bypass,

This is not any ordinary feedback
seeker script. Or a mere contact form.

Take a look at the sales page.
It describes the benefit better than I do.

It can be use in sales situation as well
as inject interactivity.

Do take a look again. For me, I think
it’s worth its price. Paul Hancox, the creator,
is a good guy.

You be the judge though. =)

Cheers,
Jag

You are absolutely right, Jag. The comment I made earlier could be a little biased. I didn’t read the sales letter thoroughly enough. Call it a habit. I went straight to the end….. ;) Thanks for pointing it out.

@ YS,

No prob! I had the same thought
as you initially.

But in the end, the sales letter
made it’s mark on me.

For $47 bucks to get invaluable
feedbacks – I will take it!

Jag

The Feedback Seeker is quite interesting. But for those who are quite hesitant with this method or approach, then do the conventional…call customers and ask, send emails or conduct a survey, have an available feedback portion on your website, or simply prepare a feedback form where they can write down comments or remarks.

@Bella:

Calling, email and conducting a survey
are all excellent ways of getting a
feedback. Sure – do those too.

As for the normal “contact us” form,
I will think the feedback seeker
product that I mentioned is a better
option.

You will know why when you read the
sales page.

Cheers,
Jag

Businesses who base their firm around feedback do successfully. After all, the ultimate point of business is to serve customers, and what better way to do that than by asking them directly?

On a side note, ESP is actually more like an eighth sense. Humans have two additional senses that most people are unaware of (well, they use them at every second, they just don’t realize it). One is the vestibular sense, which is your sense of balance. The other is the kinesthetic sense, which is the sense of where your body parts are (to test this, close your eyes and touch your nose. You couldn’t do that without the kinesthetic sense). I know that’s kind of offtopic, but interesting!

Rather than guessing what the customers need to be expecting and getting the things done. You can ask personally about the feedback so that you can improve it then and there.

yes!Feedback is the most important tool to know what your customers think about your services or products. If they are not taking the initiative to write it down. You can try other means such as contest or whatsoever to test for the response.

i have used fedback seeker, it works like a charm, feed back is the only way to truly know if your marketing is working and if you are setting yourself up for success.

I agree with you 100%. Too many companies are oblivious to their customers oppinions and therefore end up losing to competitors. The same is true for some website owners – if you treat all negative feedback like trolls you’ll never develop the site.

Ask and ye shall receive! we have all heard that before and it is true. In sales, if you don’t ask for the sale your presentation is useless. thank you for sharing that information with us.
