I prefer to trust websites with com domain name much mpore than others because com domain seems much more reliable for me and is assotiated with success in my mind.

$35 for a domain name seems unusual. NameCheap & GoDaddy sell top level domains for under $10. Your keyword research should return a variety of possible names for any niche. A .com domain would be nice, but in my experience, .net and .org seem to please the Google gods.

Hate them cyber-squatters. Like with any other problems of course, prevention is still better than cure. It is much easier to just buy other TLD’s with your name than suing squatters 5 or 10 years later when your brand has reached a certain level of popularity
