I’ve not been updating for some time.
From the faces that keep appearing on my MyBlogLog’s visitor list at my sidebar, I know that different people have been visiting, but they only get greeted by outdated stuff.
Feeling a bit bad here.
Have been busy. Really.
Well, at least, the good thing is that I’m still here, and I will keep posting whenever time permits. =)
Guilt-trip aside, recently I read a quote from Jay Abraham, which goes “Working hard is an admirable virtue, but not a necessity.” Something along that line. Anyway you get my drift. I hope.
And that got me thinking. Hard.
How very true indeed!
How often have we found ourselves slogging and working like a dog and have little or worse, nothing, to show for it?
On more than a few occasions I’m willing to wager.
That is true for me in certain instances in the past.
The truth is, for many of the most successful businessmen and marketers, they usually play it SMART rather than hard.
Time and resources are at a premium. With everything we’ve got at our disposal, how we can we get the most out of them?
How can we milk our marketing efforts for all of what they are worth?
How we can leverage on a single sales process and maximize the efficiency of it?
This is a brutal honest point blank question we must ask ourselves.
In the context of Internet Marketing, let’s take a look of a few totally random points I’ve came out at the back of my head on how we can maximize our monetizing efforts.
1. There are just too many money making systems out there. Most of the time as we are just starting to work on one system, we get distracted by the next ‘hot, quick and easy’ method.
As we attempt to get our hands dirty in every methods imaginable, the sad outcome is that we end up achieving mediocre results. Or even nothing to show for it.
Why?
Lack of focus!
Before we can even finish something, we move on the next, and the potential of the previous system never materialize. As we hop from one method to another, our efficiency just keeps dropping.
Don’t get me started on information overload. It is one of the worst shit that can happen to internet marketers (or anyone for that matter).
2. If you are one of those facing the same situation as what I’ve described above, perhaps you can try this.
- List down all the possible monetizing methods you already know.
- Work out a mind map, establish the branches and links and how they can all tie in together. With that, you will be able to see a clear relationship between every methods and sub methods. This will give you a clearer big picture, which helps to remove any confusion.
I did it for myself. It helps. Really.
For example, if you are into affiliate marketing, list down all the approaches you might take. Are you using the bum marketing technique? Ultra focused mini niche site? Single squeeze page with a backend model?
Write them all down and move on right to the last minute detail.
- When that is done, determine the exact path that is the most direct and efficient which can give you the best result in the shortest time possible. will then CONCENTRATE your best efforts on it.
- Get a system up that is capable on running itself on autopilot (an email autoresponder is crucial to making this work). Once that is achieved, we shall move on to the next income generating site/product/project.
3. Say you are into direct selling, ask yourself the following questions.
- Do you have a sales funnel (e.g. Low-cost front end? Ebay? Craiglist? Adwords Pay Per Click?) which can direct traffic into your main income generating sales page?
- Do you have a presell page (tied in with a free incentive) to capture prospects’ contacts who are not yet willing to buy?
- Are there any affiliate links in your free report that can help you to earn money? While it should not be your main source of income, any money that comes in along the way helps towards your bottom line.
- Is there an upsell/cross sell page integrated into your sales process?
- Are you working your backend machinery (Building relationship? Promoting other products? Multiple times for the same product? More upselling and cross-selling? One time offers? Discounts? Testimonials?) to the maximum?
- Are there enough emails in your autoresponder to last you one year (52 weeks) which can allow you a hands-off automated approach?
- Did you incorporate any viral elements (Rebrandable free reports? Resale rights? Affiliate program? Newsletter?) that can help to scale up your marketing effort without you lifting much of a finger?
Think about it. And think hard. Write down all the ideas you have. Organize them. And start working on them as soon as possible.
Okay. That’s it!
End of my random spouting. My tiredness has taken it’s toll. My ability to list everything down in an orderly streamlined fashion has broken down. I need a rest now. Brain shutting down already.
However I hope this has given you some ideas on how you can make the most out of your sales process.
With that said, I like to know and hear your opinions.
Do you agree with my points?
Do you have any more techniques to add on which can aid the maximizing of the sales and income generating process?
Are they any complimentary processes which can boost the main set up?
How can we get everything out of our marketing campaign down to the very last ounce of effort?
Let me know. Looking forward to hearing them.
