Random Finance Quotes #1

Okay, I didn’t blog for the last 2 days, and here I am coming out with an unprecedented number of 3 posts in one day! What’s going on with me? Am I over-compensating or what? Well, who cares! If you guys continue coming to my blog, I will continue sussing out good information, resources, tips and tricks for your benefit!

Anyway I came across this finance-related quote today and I just can’t stop sniggering. Suddenly I thought, why not have a ‘Random Finance Quotes’ to complement the ‘Random Finance Tips’ section that I came up with not long ago? I thought that will be cool, so here it is – the birth of ‘Random Finance Quotes’.

Today’s Random Finance Quote is

“A Bank is a place where they lend you an umbrella in fair weather and asks for it back when it begins to rain.”

by Robert Frost

Fair or harsh comment?

You be the judge.

If you ask me, I will say that they can be very sneaky at times, especially when it comes to advertising their products. Always look at the fine prints! You may discover the actual picture may turn out to be vastly different from what is being advertised and promoted. Now I think I know why bankers are renowned for their sense of humor. They always laugh all the way to the bank! Damn it, I want to be a banker! (Just kidding!)

Love the Frost quote. As I never give bankers a second thought, I have no opinion on whether they’re really as described, but I can whip up an attitude in no time if it helps! If you keep entertaining me the way you have with the first few posts I read, I might even take in interest in finance. Who knows!

Wow, thanks!

I try to inject some humor to lighten up the content, cos you know topics like finance and internet marketing can be rather dry at times.

But thanks man! You are great in writing yourself. I love your site!

I forgot the last time I came face to face with a banker. I deal everything with the ATM or online.

Hi Shawn,

You know what? Me too! I use ATM and online banking most of the time. Technology has made bankers irrelevant. Ok, almost!

Hahahaha, I was laughing when reading the quote…but yes, that’s true. I’d been working in a bank for 2 years and saw how they treat customers. They will go for you as long as you have money, but will go away when you don’t have money.

Though I consider it a harsh humor, but I’d say it’s a fair one now. Same as above poster, I also learned a lot when I was working in a bank. They really do love people who have money. Once you lost all of your money, they’ll leave you.

Haha… very funny quotes about banker.
I know right now, why is banker is richer than me. They have a lot of trick, don’t they? It really suck. I really love you when you’re rich, and ignoring you when you have no money. very awful.

This how the banker works. but i think that they lend you a rotten umbrella, even if u used it during rain, you will get wet. And still the banker will claim a new umbrella. that’s funny…

@Crazy Blogger
You got that right, buddy. That’s one reason why I never lend from bank. They suck your money like vampire and then left you dying.

That’s how the banker works, it’s common. It lends money for you, but for the big interest, while you want to return it, everything become big enough so you must work harder to pay it.

A fair one, I think. Banks are always like that…and what makes it worse is that they don’t even care what kind of customer we are as long as we have money.

Banks always gives a lot of respect before you take a loan but once you have done that they call you every day to remind that you are like a slave to them and all banks sucks the juice out of you.

Banks are like super sponge that really sucks your money and effort. In the end you are left with less or no achievements at all.

Oh, that’s very true my friend. I can’t agree more to that quotation. You know why? Coz I was working in a bank few months ago, so I know what kind of trick they have.

Well, I guess this is embarassing, but that’s the fact. So you just have to be careful when lending from a bank. That way you can just throw away the umbrella safely.

I go along with with the largest part of what is getting said here, I am relieved I found this. :) I was just enjoying a discussion concerning this topic together with my smart brother at work.
