50 Power Words To ‘Juice’ Up Your Sales Copy

clip_image002Copywriting is salesmanship in print.

If you want to sell on the net, then you MUST know copywriting.

You need to use words that sell. Words that inspire emotional response in your prospect.

And to make them want to buy.

Copywriting is all about the clever use of persuasive power words to entice and compel people into buying.

Yes the art of using just that – ‘hot’ words that sell which pushed your emotional hot button.

If we are to use the normal words like we do in our typical conversation, we might have trouble convincing, because the words we usually speak lack the extra ’spark’ and ‘emotional-inducing’ elements.

With effective emotional triggering words and phrases, it can make a major difference to your conversion.

I compiled a list of 50 power and ‘juicy’ words that can help to spice up your copy and give it an ‘extra’ magic.

Excellent job! Many people don’t realize that depending on the industry you’re blogging in, you may need to use some copywriting techniques in your blogs. I’ve been a copywriter for many years – but I ALWAYS refer to several “WORD” books that list words like you did above. It’s great to thumb through when trying to find just the right words for a sales letter headline or a blog post headline.

Messaging is the #1 role of one communicating an offering. Nice list, but I would challenge your audience not to blindly start writing copy with power words. First look to the words that attract your target audience.

@Andrew & Karl:

Right on. Power words are there to add a little ‘buzz’ in your copy. Too much of it will make the copy ’salesy’ and hyped-up. There must be a balance and use in the right context.

@Direct To India, Home based business opportunity, Tru Talent Management, Nitro:

Thanks a million. Hope you found the list useful. I’m sure you will. =)

i totally agree, that is the power of persuasion, you present a prospect something that will make him think that buying your product makes sense, one more factor that helps make persuading even more effective is charm… some are naturally gifted with it but for some of us that don’t, we better work it..

Ogilvy had a list like this in his seminal book on advertising. I think ‘now’ was in his list, and is a great word for getting across a sense of urgency.
