Tips On How You Can Harness The Massive Power Of Social Media

As we step into the era of Web 2.0, we can observe the new social media phenomenon taking the Internet world by storm. There is an unprecedented amount of interaction between users and websites like never before. Social networking sites like MySpace and video sharing sites such as Youtube are already household names. One word – HOT!

So hot you can probably fry an egg with it!

Social Media is an incredibly powerful platform to drive traffic, engage in some serious marketing and create publicity. Speaking about creating publicity, some people gain unwanted notoriety by posting up some ‘naughty’ content to places like Youtube. But hey! Lets not go there. Anyway, if you are in a business, this is a platform you should definitely be looking to leverage on.

Why do I say so? Allow me to give you an example. A Malaysian singer, Karen Kong, set up a Friendster webpage to market her new song, Cinta Hello Kitty, and within a short period of time, got thousands of hits on her webpage, elevating her exposure to heights which I suspect she never imagined.

How to cloak your affiliate links to increase your click conversion

As an affiliate marketer, I have to promote merchants and their services. One of the most effective and common form of promotion is through a simple text link (nowadays people will argue that video ads are better though) which will bring the readers to their respective sites.

The far majority of people will not like to click on a link that looks like this – http://xxx.com/snfnfERRER%^^&&$#@1@#$.

It looks way too ugly (some say shitty!) and seems like it is going to stretch all the way to the moon! You absolutely do not want a link to be looking like that. What we want is a nice functional link that will get the click.

Before I go on, let me address one issue first, which is that on ethics.

There are some who feel that cloaking is unethical, on the lack of transparency ground. To be very honest, I feel otherwise.

Marketing is all about optimizing your settings to achieve the maximum possible conversion. There is no obvious malicious intent to cheat or lie here when we cloak. The person that clicks the link will always be sent to the same destination, be it cloaked or not.

Are you a writer? Here are some tips for you!

In business and Internet Marketing, knowing how to write is a definite advantage. With smooth and easy to read content articles which are rich in informational value, you can easily credentialize yourself and build up a relationship with your readers and customers.

Article marketing is without a doubt, a great way to do website promotion, and spread the word about your business and website.

For myself, I developed a love for writing when I was a young kid. It’s an enjoyable activity that just allows me to express my feelings and thoughts. I always feel an adrenaline rush when I see my article being published in print or online.

In a way, I was influenced a lot by my elder brother, who is a really good writer! I remember vividly, that a long time back, we will sit down together and weave some nonsensical war time stories (my brother love reading war novels then). Those were really the days!

How to read all your emails at one place

Do you have email accounts at different places?

Do you find it a real hassle and a pain in the ass to open different email applications such as Microsoft Outlook and other different webmails at the same time just to read all your emails?

If you sometimes find the whole opening of emails everywhere cumbersome, you are definitely not alone.

As a webmaster, I have many other email accounts at different sites, and it really makes tracking of emails an ABSOLUTE nightmare at times.

It doesn’t help when web-based email applications like RoundMail, Horde and SquirrelMails are always giving me problems. Irritating pesky issues like mail errors log out problems, and not being able to read my mails even though I know I clearly have incoming ones have really gotten onto my nerves. These web-based email applications have taken turns to give me trouble, and I have all but given up on them!

Microsoft Outlook works fine and great, but the only problem was that I couldn’t access it elsewhere other than when I’m at my own laptop. I move about often without my laptop, and I need to be able to read my mails anywhere.
