17 Little WordPress Plugins That Do Serious Damage

I’m a big fan of the WordPress. It is easy to use, flexible and works great as a Content Management System (CMS). I rate it highly, alongside Joomla, which I’m currently experimenting now for my other sites.

Back to WordPress, there are many Internet Marketers who are increasingly using WordPress as a website platform to market themselves and their product, and rightly so!

On its own, WordPress is pretty bare, but once you start adding in all the plugins that are freely available in their WordPress database, watch it turn from a regular Joe into a MONSTROUS beast (something like the big hairy fat ugly orc you see in Lord of The Rings)!

Here are some great plugins I’ve been using so far.

Search Engine Optimization

1. Ultimate Tag Warrior

This has to be one of the most important WordPress plugin. It enables you to automatically tag each of your post without having to make any changes to your theme. There is also a tag suggestion feature to helps you come out with possible tags to use for each of your post. Helps a lot in SEO, and it also gets your traffic via Technorati. If there is just one WordPress you have to choose, this must be it.

A mind-boggling array of Financial calculators for your benefit

Let me ask you a question. Do you like math and finance? If you do, you will love what I am going to introduce to you. If you don’t, you should still check this out anyway. Cos’ it’s good stuff! Plus it will come in handy for you in future. That, I’m pretty sure.

To me, a calculator is always a must have tool, not because my maths sux (I got an ‘A’ for my maths back in college! Don’t be fooled by my ramblings!), but because I’m simply not adept at mental calculation.

When it comes to finance, calculators can save you loads of time and help you look at the big picture. A picture that may be hazy and uncertain upon first sight, but is abundantly clear when everything is laid out bare on the table.

What exactly am I talking about?

Let me paint a scenario for you.

You have a wad of cash. You are contemplating whether to invest this sum of money or to pay off a loan. However there are many factors involved. To come to an informed decision, you need to consider factors such as the monthly loan payment, annual loan interest rate, loan balance, investment type, investment rate of return, loan interest deductibility and the tax rate, after which you will then have to weigh the odds, and determine which action will tip the scale towards your advantage.

Amazingly HOT giveaway site worth checking out

Sorry for the screaming-for-attention headline I’ve here. Don’t worry I’m not going to sell you anything. So put your itchy wallet away. I just want to give you a heads up on an amazing resource site I came across.

I’ve been to number of free giveaway sites, and it is fair to say that a lot of them are filled with junk and thrash. Simply put – a waste of time!

While surfing around aimlessly the other day, I stumbled upon yet another giveaway site. I was skeptical at first, but nevertheless, I decided to check it out.

And boy am I glad I did. This is definitely the real deal. The site I’m talking about here is Giveaway of The Day. Basically this site offers FREE softwares for give away. It’s not your thrashy kind nor are the products just merely trial versions. These are licensed and fully functional softwares that are useful and handy. They are available for download for a day (hence the name), but quite often, this period stretches longer than that (only when the publishers are agreeable).

Need a blogging solution? WordPress is for you!

Forget Blogger and other blogging platform. The blogging world now belongs to WordPress and it is easy to see why.

With other blog solutions, you don’t owe the site. They reserve the right to kick you out at any time without warning, which means all your effort of creating posts, customizing and related work will go down the drain – just like that!

You have no control nor can you really brand it the way you want.

With WordPress, things are different. You are able to host it under your own domain. You control your blog site in any way you deem fit. You have the power to brand it the way you want it.

WordPress is an incredibly powerful platform, that not only allows you to create great looking blogs but also websites as well(yes it can be done contrary to popular belief)!

It requires minimal programming and designing. A lot of the work is already cut out for you. There are also loads of themes available which you can just select and customize it to your liking.

In addition, Wordpress has aggregator support for RSS configurations, allows for customization of the sidebar, RSS feeds, forms, styling and more.

RatingsHub – A site for Internet Marketing reviews

In my previous post, I talked about evaluating a product carefully before making a purchase.

Necessary steps like testing their support, analyzing their competitors’ product and reading reviews, go a long way in helping you make an informed decision on whether to get the product.

On the last point of product review, here is a great review site for anything that is related to Internet Marketing.

This review site I’m going to give you a low down about is RatingsHub.

So what’s so special about RatingsHub?

This website is THE place to find out if the Internet Marketing related product you are thinking of getting is worth paying good money for or if it should just be rubbished!

Whether is it on products or services such as email autoresponder, payment processor, affiliate programs, automation tools, courses, ebooks, forums and boards, web hosting, software and more, RatingsHub allows you to see what other users think about the product that you are concerned about.

You can also discover products that you never ever heard before which can be potentially very useful to the things you are doing or are going to do. For example, I discovered Ewen Chia’s Secret Affiliate Weapon Ebook course/membership site there. He is one of the world’s top affiliate marketer, and I honestly learnt quite a bit from his product, thanks to the various recommendations from RatingsHub.

So you think you know Google well enough?

In the Internet world, there is hardly anyone who do not know or have not heard about the Big G. Everything now is about Google this and Google that.

To be honest, this is hardly surprising. Since Google, founded by Larry Page and Sergey Brin, burst onto the scene in 1998, they took the search engine realm by storm. One by one, they brushed aside their more established competitors like Altavista, Excite, Lycos and to a lesser extend, Yahoo, with embarrassing ease.

I remembered a few years back when people were asking if that their share price at 160 was too high? Guess what? The price is now at 495, poised to break through the 500 psychological barrier. With the P/E and market capitalization at a staggering figure of 63 and 152 billion respectively, you know Google is a force to be reckoned with. A titan if you will.

Anyway the point of this post is not really about Google’s financial background nor its history (perhaps I’ll talk more about this in later posts).

The real purpose here is that I just like to let you in about a great resource I got to know on almost everything about Google for webmasters and Internet marketers. Be it on Adwords, Adsense, Blogger, Sitemaps, Firefox, Froogle  and many more other Google features, this website gives you, the Google user, handy tutorials, tips and tricks.
