Sometimes, have you ever why your customers don’t like you?

Or that they stop giving you more business after the initial one?

Or that they just don’t ever want to refer any prospects to you?

WHY?

Think about it…

Hmmm…could it that maybe you are not handsome or pretty enough?

Or maybe it is because…you simply just DON’T treat them well enough!

Often it is down to the second scenario.

You know I’ve previously talk about having a good quality product….placing a lot of importance of speed in your business operations….focusing attention on sales and marketing…

All well and good if you follow them. But these will go to a big big waste – if your customers don’t feel that they are respected or valued by you.

Could you be making these mistake?

Now, I’m going to reveal to you the 10 commandments of business that I promise – if you abide by them – will make your customers your raving fans. For life.

Believe me – these business commandments help. It has helped me. And I’ve no doubt it would help you.

What are these commandments? Brace yourself…here we go…

COMMANDMENTS #1

COMMANDMENTS #2

Respect your customers like you would like others to respect you…

COMMANDMENTS #3

Talk to your customers like you would like others to talk to you…

COMMANDMENTS #4

Listen to your customers like you would like others to listen to you…

COMMANDMENTS #5

Give a lot of attention to your customers like you would like others to give a lot of attention to you…

COMMANDMENTS #6

Shower your customers with value like you would like others to shower you with value.

COMMANDMENTS #7

Fulfil their needs and wants like you would like others to fulfil your needs and wants.

COMMANDMENTS #8

Show them appreciation like you would like others to show you appreciation.

COMMANDMENTS #9

Take care of them like you would like others to take care of you.

COMMANDMENTS #10

Be responsive to them like you like others to be responsive to you.

There. I’m done.

Now take those commandments, and apply them not just to your customers, but also your partners, friends and your loved ones…

What do you think about what I’ve just said?

Let me know. I’m all ears.

Hi James,

You know what? You are RIGHT! I was just waiting for someone to point that out!

Anyway, the rest are just an extensions to the first one.
And you got it nailed on that the first is the most important, and pretty much sum up the rest!

Cheers,
Jag

All of the commandments in summary mean the same thing, that the customer is always right, that line pretty much sums it up. :)

Hi Faraz,

Spot on man. We have to treat our customers and users with utmost respect. They come first. And then the business will take care of itself.

Though I won’t say customers are ALWAYS right. But that’s another story altogether. =)

Thanks for your input.

Cheers,
Jag

Good list.

Starting with the “golden rule” first is important.

It’s all about putting yourself in the customers shoes and treating them like you want to be treated. You can’t go wrong with that mentality.

Great List,
Many people forget to take care of their existing customers because they are so driven towards getting new customers.
