Are you a writer? Here are some tips for you!

In business and Internet Marketing, knowing how to write is a definite advantage. With smooth and easy to read content articles which are rich in informational value, you can easily credentialize yourself and build up a relationship with your readers and customers.

Article marketing is without a doubt, a great way to do website promotion, and spread the word about your business and website.

For myself, I developed a love for writing when I was a young kid. It’s an enjoyable activity that just allows me to express my feelings and thoughts. I always feel an adrenaline rush when I see my article being published in print or online.

In a way, I was influenced a lot by my elder brother, who is a really good writer! I remember vividly, that a long time back, we will sit down together and weave some nonsensical war time stories (my brother love reading war novels then). Those were really the days!

RatingsHub – A site for Internet Marketing reviews

In my previous post, I talked about evaluating a product carefully before making a purchase.

Necessary steps like testing their support, analyzing their competitors’ product and reading reviews, go a long way in helping you make an informed decision on whether to get the product.

On the last point of product review, here is a great review site for anything that is related to Internet Marketing.

This review site I’m going to give you a low down about is RatingsHub.

So what’s so special about RatingsHub?

This website is THE place to find out if the Internet Marketing related product you are thinking of getting is worth paying good money for or if it should just be rubbished!

Whether is it on products or services such as email autoresponder, payment processor, affiliate programs, automation tools, courses, ebooks, forums and boards, web hosting, software and more, RatingsHub allows you to see what other users think about the product that you are concerned about.

You can also discover products that you never ever heard before which can be potentially very useful to the things you are doing or are going to do. For example, I discovered Ewen Chia’s Secret Affiliate Weapon Ebook course/membership site there. He is one of the world’s top affiliate marketer, and I honestly learnt quite a bit from his product, thanks to the various recommendations from RatingsHub.

Don’t believe my recommendations!

If you have read through my blog since its birth, you will have came across some recommended services and resources that I’ve spoken highly of such as Internet Marketing all-in-one E-commerce solution Site-Build-It, autoresponder service provider Aweber,  stock charting software ChartNexus and web-hosting provider Hostgator.

Now, what I want to say is that while I give my recommendations with a sincere heart believing that it will truly benefit someone out there who is looking for an answer, I will still like to say, “DON’T BELIEVE IT!” Not until you have done your own research and due diligence that is.

There are always many people recommending this and that, and while some are truly good and worth every penny, many others are just pure crap. We must always ask ourselves some questions first, before contemplating buying or taking up the service.

1. Does it suit my requirements?

Ferrari may be a superb car. However if I just want a simple no frills vehicle that can take me from point A to B, I won’t need such an expensive high end car, even if the whole racing world is raving about it.

2. Is it too expensive and way out of my budget?

So you think you know Google well enough?

In the Internet world, there is hardly anyone who do not know or have not heard about the Big G. Everything now is about Google this and Google that.

To be honest, this is hardly surprising. Since Google, founded by Larry Page and Sergey Brin, burst onto the scene in 1998, they took the search engine realm by storm. One by one, they brushed aside their more established competitors like Altavista, Excite, Lycos and to a lesser extend, Yahoo, with embarrassing ease.

I remembered a few years back when people were asking if that their share price at 160 was too high? Guess what? The price is now at 495, poised to break through the 500 psychological barrier. With the P/E and market capitalization at a staggering figure of 63 and 152 billion respectively, you know Google is a force to be reckoned with. A titan if you will.

Anyway the point of this post is not really about Google’s financial background nor its history (perhaps I’ll talk more about this in later posts).

The real purpose here is that I just like to let you in about a great resource I got to know on almost everything about Google for webmasters and Internet marketers. Be it on Adwords, Adsense, Blogger, Sitemaps, Firefox, Froogle  and many more other Google features, this website gives you, the Google user, handy tutorials, tips and tricks.

How to read all your emails at one place

Do you have email accounts at different places?

Do you find it a real hassle and a pain in the ass to open different email applications such as Microsoft Outlook and other different webmails at the same time just to read all your emails?

If you sometimes find the whole opening of emails everywhere cumbersome, you are definitely not alone.

As a webmaster, I have many other email accounts at different sites, and it really makes tracking of emails an ABSOLUTE nightmare at times.

It doesn’t help when web-based email applications like RoundMail, Horde and SquirrelMails are always giving me problems. Irritating pesky issues like mail errors log out problems, and not being able to read my mails even though I know I clearly have incoming ones have really gotten onto my nerves. These web-based email applications have taken turns to give me trouble, and I have all but given up on them!

Microsoft Outlook works fine and great, but the only problem was that I couldn’t access it elsewhere other than when I’m at my own laptop. I move about often without my laptop, and I need to be able to read my mails anywhere.

Biz owners, ignore Email marketing at your own peril!

Nowadays we have so many kinds of different marketing strategies out there that we sometimes do tend to forgot about and neglect a very simple yet effective method which has been tried and tested, and proven to work - Email Marketing.

To me (and in fact many Internet marketers out there), Email marketing is one of the most important web strategy that one must incorporate into their business planning.

In the past, we used to send out letters by the snail’s mail way, incurring expenses such as paper, postage and envelopes. With emails, it makes communication a breeze. Everyone can be reached, cheaply, quickly and efficiently.

It was only a matter of time before marketers started to realize the importance of email marketing and how it can be utilized to reach out to their target audience. Yet currently there are still many out there who do not comprehend just how vital email marketing and building up the list is to the growth and profitability of their businesses.

You may ask, “what is so darn important about building a list? Sounds really boring to me!”

Well, lets consider a few points:
